SUPPORT GROUP FOR PARENTS OF CHILDREN WITH SPECIAL NEEDS

Parenting a child with special needs can be exhausting and isolating.  We feel more energized when we can connect with parents who understand the complex array of emotions that come with parenting a child with physical and/or intellectual challenges. 

 

I offer a support group in Lafayette for parents of children with special needs.  The purpose of this group is to provide emotional support in a safe, supportive and non-judgmental environment.  The group provides an opportunity to share how parenting a child with special needs can affect many aspects of our lives such as: marriage, dating, siblings, as well as the expectations we have for ourselves and our children. 

 

I am currently forming a group .  The date and time will be determined based on group members availability.
